Jatiya Party Chairman and Deputy Leader of Opposition in Jatiya Sangsad GM Quader’s mobile phone has been stolen. A case has been filed at the capital’s airport police station, but the mobile phone has not been recovered yet.
According to the police, GM Quader was stuck in the traffic jam in front of the third terminal under construction of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on his way to Uttara’s residence from Sangsad Bhavan last Wednesday around 11 pm. His car window was open at that time. He had a mobile phone. Suddenly, a robber grabbed the mobile phone in his hand and ran away. A case was filed at the airport police station the next day.
GM Quader said that after snatching his mobile phone, the people chased the robber. At that time, the robber took out a knife and threw away a mobile phone. But the abandoned mobile phone was not his.
In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Airport Zone, Tapas Kumar Pal said, immediately after receiving the complaint, the police started trying to recover the mobile phone of the deputy leader of the opposition party. But so far it has not been recovered.
Earlier on May 25 last year, a robber snatched the mobile phone of Planning Minister MA Mannan at Vijay Sarani in the capital. At that time the window of the Planning Minister’s car was open. A month and a half after the incident, the police recovered the mobile phone of the planning minister after catching a gang of robbers.
